Sunday beautiful Sunday,
a day of rest,
a day of peace,
a day to venture out into your joys…
For me that involves being outside,
it was a glorious day,
so so grateful..

I love the dry season in Darwin
This morning we woke to a beautiful cool morning
twas crisp and clear
and the sky soooooooo blue.
The fires have also started
not as welcome
but it does make for some stunning sunsets…
No more rain for 6 months…
Lest we forget.
But more importunately
may we remember
to love ourselves
….completely….
….totally….
and without bias
for until we love ourselves..
We cannot truly love another
….completely….
Love to earth
….completely….
and that is a divine purpose
and we are all Divine
Namaste..
Love You
Cos your so worth it
I have been feeling in a quiet space all weekend,
enjoyed a walk in the rain
and a drive in the country
a bit of a read
and just watching the sky….
shhhhhhhh.
Namaste..
Every morning is a blessing..
Lately we have been getting up before dawn to walk and experience the birth of a new day.
So wonderful…
From the tree
We take our first lesson from the ancient symbol of the Spider by contemplating its web.
Just as the Spider weaves a web, so too must we weave our own lives. The Spider symbol meaning here serves as a reminder that our choices construct our lives.
choose wisely, choose with love and choose with joy….
and tonights glorious sunset…..
may your choices of today fill your tomorrows with rapture…..
Namaste
I am in love with Mother Earth
the sky
the sea
the colours
the light
the animals
the trees
and you and me.
I am in love with Mother Earth….
Some beautiful tree resin…..
When finches come into our awareness it is a sure sign of ebullient times ahead.
Finches are a sparkly omen of high energy and bright days on the horizon
As a creature of the wind, the dragonlfy totem represents change.
It’s iridescent wings are incredibly sensitive to the slightest breeze, and so we are reminded to heed where the proverbial wind blows – lest we run into stormy weather.
I asked for miracles,
I promised to to look out for them
and I got Miraculous...
I have had the most amazing day
watching life’s miracles…
no..
Miraculous
Today I woke before dawn, which I love and in my meditation I asked for 100 miracles today and promised that I would see each and every one.
I did and I have
but oh so many more then 100.
The air is full of dragonflies, each a little miracle.
I love this time of year in Darwin when the southern states are cooling down Darwin is spring to life, you can feel it in the air there’s a feeling excitement after the heat of the wet.
This is when the ‘Darwinites’ come out to play, and play they do…
A bit of Dragonfly symbolism
Power and Poise
The dragonfly’s agile flight and its ability to move in all six directions exude a sense of power and poise – something that comes only with age and maturity.
The dragonfly can move at an amazing 45 miles an hour, hover like a helicopter fly backwards like a hummingbird, fly straight up, down and on either side. What is mind blowing is the fact that it can do this while flapping its wings a mere 30 times a minute while mosquitoes and houseflies need to flap their wings 600 and 1000 times a minute respectively.
The awe inspiring aspect is how the dragonfly accomplishes its objectives with utmost simplicity, effectiveness and well, if you look at proportions, with 20 times as much power in each of its wing strokes when compared to the other insects. The best part is that the dragonfly does it with elegance and grace that can be compared to a veteran ballet dancer. If this is not a brazen, lazy, overkill in terms of display of raw power, what is?
The change of season has come to Darwin,
the dragonflies are here…
Pure magic….
Rudy had me up at 5.45am for a walk before work
It was worth it….
A gentle sail back 9/4/12
Left Craw Claw with the outgoing tide and slight breeze to get us to Bynoe Harbour entrance,
just in time for the inward tide and the afternoon sea breeze back to Darwin.
Decided to wait around and watch the sunset,
In on the 7pm lock swing.
Big tide
A great time had…
Happy Easter 8/4/12
Anchored at Crab Claw
Took the ‘tender’ out for a run,
put out a crab pot and threw out a line .
Hot now sitting on the boat watching the tide and playing Upwords.
Quiet Morning 7/4/12
Up with the rising sun, and a beautiful breeze lasted throughout the night.
Headed over to the west side of Indian Island, put out the crab pot though no luck.
Too hot for them, too hot for us so we decided to head back to Crab Claw, more breeze.
I do love cruising up the river systems, snaking around the twists and turns.
We were treated to an afternoon storm, lovely to cool down the decks.
I was hoping to do my blog daily, but we were out of range and truthfully I just love watching the world..
then we were blessed with a cooled refreshed evening…
Set sail 6/4/12 – 730 am
Heading Bynoe Harbour (next harbour SW of Darwin)
As big as Darwin Harbour yet largely uninhabited dotted with fishing shacks and pearl leases and Crab Claw Island resort. A fisherman’s haven.
We sailed flat waters under clear blue skies…
We watched as the Full Moon traverse the sky…..
We set sail for Easter destination Bynoe Harbour, we have been doing a major refit on Tiata and this was our grand reacquaintance.
Left 5/4/12 – 1600hrs.
A sail around the harbour.
Cullen Bay to Fannie Bay
Beautiful sunset, first boat for the season to anchor in Fannie Bay – Only this morning we did an early morning walk and I said to Rudy “won’t be long till the boats are back for the season” and it was us…
We started the day early, nothing like a pre-dawn walk to nourish the soul…
Morning Walk
Evening sail
Life has turned into a gorgeous flurry of late,
a reunion with a friend.
The restocking Tiata after a long hiatus,
it’s wonderful.
5 nights on the water…
a full moon…
perfect weather.
We are ready…
